Butler’s 4/15 Proposals Provide Extra Wage Increases To Those Who Need Them Most
One of the key changes to the hospital’s April 15th economic proposal was an increase in the starting salary for all positions to a minimum of $17 per hour, applied before the Hospital’s proposed across-the-board increases.
Everybody deserves to feel safe at work. At Butler, we place the highest priority on employee and patient safety and are dedicated to continuous improvement in those areas.
Unfortunately, violence against healthcare workers is an increasing problem nationally and locally. Healthcare workers are five times more likely to experience workplace violence than employees in other industries.

To more clearly illustrate how pay increases would work over the life of the contract, we’re providing examples using fictional employees from each Bargaining Unit.

There are four Butler contracts with SEIU 1199 which include Professional/RN, Clerical, Mental Health Workers/Technical, and Housekeeping/Dietary. All four contracts expire on March 31, 2025.
Negotiations will begin in February 2025, with specific dates to soon be finalized.
