To Our Butler Team Members,
As you are aware, tomorrow morning, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 6:00am, Butler employees represented by SEIU 1199 NE will be going out on strike. Please know we have worked hard to try to reach a satisfactory agreement with the union, but so far have been unsuccessful in these efforts.
No doubt the days ahead will challenge us all. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt care and concern for each and every one of you. Whether you will be participating in the picketing or remaining on duty to help care for our patients, you are the staff that make this organization a leader in behavioral healthcare and your dedication and hard work are deeply valued and appreciated.
For those who will be picketing, I respect your right to collectively bargain and remain hopeful we can reach an agreement soon. I have kept you in the front of my mind throughout these negotiations. Please know we stand ready to meet with your union representatives when they are ready to re-engage in negotiations.
For those who will remain on duty, your role in providing continuous care to our patients is equally vital. Your unwavering commitment to our patients during this challenging time is commendable, and I am grateful for your dedication. Together, we will ensure that our patients receive the best possible care, despite the circumstances.
We are a team, and we will always be stronger together. Let us navigate this period with compassion, understanding, and mutual respect. I am here for you, and I encourage open communication and collaboration as we move forward.
Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and resilience. Together, we will overcome this challenge and continue to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Please take care,
Mary
